The Portland VA Medical Center provides health care services to veterans in both acute and rehabilitation settings on the Portland, OR and the Vancouver, WA campuses. Internship sites are available in the Substance Abuse Treatment Program and the Nursing Skilled Care Unit, at the Vancouver campus, and in the Portland and Vancouver Mental Health Clinics. The 15 week/40 hours per week internship includes an orientation to the medical center and Recreation therapy services, supervised hands-on experience in the assigned treatment program and completion of an independent special project.

All clinical supervisors are full-time CTRS's.
