Minimum Requirements and Preferences

THERAPEUTIC RECR SUPERVISOR (Assistant Director)
RECREATIONAL THERAPY-PSYCHIATRY/REHABILITATION/TRANSPLANTS/GERO
Pos.#02117 - Full-time, days, some weekends. Minimum Salary $32,339.

Requires BS/BA degree/specialization in Therapeutic Recreation/Recreational Therapy with an internship in therapeutic recreation and certifications as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (TRS) certification by the State of North Carolina Certification Board and as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification. Also requires 6 years of directly related professional experience 2 of which should be in a supervisory or administrative capacity.

Candidates should have clinical practice experience/competencies in psychiatry and rehabilitation and management experience/competencies including supervision/management of personnel, budget, health and safety, continuous quality improvement, competency assessment, clinical education and evaluation and research.
